This month-long celebration includes hundreds of fun, free events held around the country for all current and future dog owners.

Each AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day event is unique, but many include AKC Rally^®, Obedience and Agility demonstrations (at some events, you can try, too!); Canine Good Citizen^®(CGC) testing; AKC CAR microchip clinics; safety around dogs for kids programs like The Dog Listener; giveaways, face painting, food and more!

AKC will celebrate its own flagship AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day in Raleigh, N.C. on Saturday, September 22nd from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. If you live in the Raleigh area, bring your dog to try Agility or AKC Rally^® with the help of trainers at My Dog Can Do That, shop local vendors, watch demos of herding and flyball, and pick up a free goodie bag!
