Hello, my name is Tiffany Kaminskas.

I wrote a poem about dog showing, and thought AKC would be interested. It's based on my retired standard poodle "Calaes Standing Ovation."

• We all fight for who has the Best dog. To some it's a hobby, to others a career. To all it's a passion.
• We notice the little things and the unimportant things. We perfect the image of our dogs so much that we forget the purpose. If we would drop our combs, hairspray, rags, and shampoo and remember we're more than champion dogs, we're the dog's champion.
• While one dog is judged on its grooming, another dog in a rink next door yet a world away is judged on its stance. The emotions run deep here. When one loses it brings sorrow, strength, and determination to improve. When one wins it brings happiness, and confidence.
• The true purpose of winning, hoping, perfecting, rushing, tears, and smiles is one thing, A Champion Dog.
